About Karen

Karen is a production artist from Hong Kong with professional experiences in the entertinament industry. She is currently working as a Lead Matte Painter at Enchanting Studio in Hong Kong for an unannounced full-CGI animated featured film. She has previously participated in animated featured film Sherlock Holmes and The Great Escape, short film Nick the Lost Robot, and many more local productions.

Graduated with a first honour degree (GAP 4.0) in Maths at the University of Manchester and worked at a competitive start-up for 2 years, Karen is focused and dedicated. Though, she knew art has always been a part of her, and creating stories is what energizes her. Later on, she discovered a career that let her do just that - story artist and visual development. Leaving her job, she proceeded to self-learn entertainment arts for a year. Her pursuit brought her various projects and clients, and eventually got her hired at an animation studio.

Karen loves coffee, sushi, Tolkien and the outdoors. During her downtime, you can find her trail running or kayaking, or having casual drinks with close friends.
