Music Visualizer (Lyric Video)

I had the honour to work on this fun and cute project for two local artists Robynn Yip and Claudia Koh. Below is a break down of the process of my work.

Creation Process

Sharing some initial designs for the alter ego characters of the artists in the visualizer.

Referencing to their real life personalities, I’ve combined the sleek elegance of French woman with exagerated fashion accessories for Robynn, and the very cute yet slightly edgy and unpredictable personality for Claudia.

Here are the moodboards.

With the song’s rhythm and theme, we wanted to have a ‘girls just wanna have fun’ vibe to the visualizer, also incorperating elements like travelling/ journey/ road trips, Y2K for that nostalgia element (since they are both from that era), and vivid colours.

We went with Moodboad A in the end!

Next, sharing some dance poses below.

This is the MOST FUN part to animate! A little sassy head bobbing for the hook. Took refs from real footages of @robynnyip and @claudia.koh doing the dance, lots of laughs during the process.

Finally, showcasing some of my favourite background work for the visualizer.

Last image is a line up of the assets used for the globe in the chorus, and the changing of night to daylight.
